This is my fifth one, its a way to cook fall off the bone meats, does chicken thighs in 58 minutes. It works great, definitely cooks by time, and convection.
Plus we have the bigger smoker also
Just received my second Orion after using the first one so much over 10 years it finally needed put to rest ! Best smoker on the market for busy schedules , light it … have a beer , mow the lawn etc…. Remove food smoked perfectly at set time and enjoy while having another cold beer !
Love it.
I have been using the original cooker for about 10 or more years and absolutely love it. I have gone through 3 and just ordered my 4th one. The one I purchased about 3 years ago seems to need a little more cooking time across the board but still a far cry better than any other cooker I have ever used.
Original Orion Cooker
Don't get me wrong, I still love spending the whole day and half a night smoking some meat. But what if you want some great smoked meat this afternoon and it's 1 or 2 pm? Orion Cooker it is! Seriously, I love my Orion cookers. That's right I have three! One original, one original large and the 3.0.
I'm completely satisfied
This is the best smoker i have ever owned!
I had been searching for a smoker for months. Orion only popped up within the last few days of my search and I found the concept intriguing. I have only had it for two weeks and smoked a chicken and ribs. Both were delicious. I stuck to the cooking times in the manual that comes with the cooker, and found both on the verge of being overcooked. Nonetheless, moist, juicy, just enough Smokey, and the entire process is a breeze. I’ll experiment more but after even only two dishes I am confident this smoker will become a regular in my rotation. A solid 5 stars for how sturdy and beautiful the device is, and for how well it cooks/smokes the meats.
Easy to assemble and easy to use following the timing directions. My suggestion for anyone new is to start with very little wood chips to start as I messed up and used too much on my first cook.
